I had problems with my menstrual cycle from the very beginning. I would bleed heavily for months at a time, and then stop for almost a year About a year and a half ago, an ovarian cyst burst and the pain was so great, I knew I couldn’t let it happen again. I ate only fruits and vegetables and legumes for about 3 or 4 months, and even now I don’t eat much outside of that. My period regulated itself completely after 4 months and I haven’t had any problems with cysts since. I haven’t seen a doctor to verify that the cysts are clear, but I believe my diet strengthened my body enough to take care of its own problems.
