Joseph: 60 days of Juice Fasting

Doing 60 days of Juice Fasting. Starting October 26, 2010
Reasons for Fasting:
To better understand how I react to food and because i quit smoking after 8 years, 4+ of which were throughout my growing years as a teenager so i'm just wanting to give my body a chance to get as healthy as it can be to recover from my addiction of nicotine and bad eating habits.
Past Fasting Experience:
Mainly just the daily extended fast of skipping breakfast for the past decade. Occasionally i do eat breakfast though.
- whole grains
- chicken breast
- After eating healthy throughout the day i'll end up eating cookies/cake anything horrible at the end of the day and then crash.
Relevant Medical History:
Pretty much nothing. No allergies,broken anything etc.
Present Medical Problems:
Recently I've actually paid attention to how what i eat effects my body. From my findings I'm fairly certain i'm hypoglycemic. I suppose years of only sleeping 3-4 hours a night staying up drinking lots of highly sugared beverages and smoking cigarettes was bound to bring about some issues. Whenever i consume any meal with a high Glycemic load my options are to either continue eating sugar or i'll fall asleep within 30 minutes. I'm still waiting to buy a finger pricker to test my blood sugar so i can be more aware.
State of Mind:
Worried about if i'll succeed at my current school and if when i finish in 4 months i'f i'll be able to find a job.
Not real sure. I got an hour of driving twice a day to school with bad traffic. Have to be able to concentrate enough in school to learn a lot in short periods of time because i'm in an accelerated course for information technology.
60 days seems like a long time not to drink milk so what should i do about calcium? My juice mixtures will mainly consist of apple,celery,sweet potato,carrot,lettuce,cucumber,spinach/strawberry.
