  • Doing 21 days of Juice/Water Fasting. Starting April 25, 2011

  • Reasons for Fasting:
    Lose weight and feel healthier

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    I last fasted for 20 days in January/february I did mostly juice fast with water the last week for two days then went back to juice. After fast ended i did 10 days of raw food only

  • Present Diet:
    Healthy, trying to stay alkaline. Started eating more alkaline diet after my first fast. Sort of started eating chocolate again and I have a hard time controlling my chocolate eating habits

  • Supplements:
    none really except for thyroid support/

  • Relevant Medical History:
    lupus, anxiety, thyroid tumor

  • Present Medication or Drug Usage:

  • State of Mind:
    I am very positive and happy about my last fasting experience. I couldn't wait to start a new fast. I am on day 2 today and feel pretty good.

  • Limitations:
    kid, work, having to cook dinner!

  • Questions:
    to stay full, I decided to take fiber (powder form) and it seems to work so far. I want to make sure this is ok. I really wish I could take vitamin B during this fast but not sure how or if this will affect my results. Also I had to go back on a much higher dose of Lexapro afte rmy first fast bc it triggered all my symptoms so I do not want to stop taking it this time. I nearly lost my mind after my first fast bc my symptoms were so severe. I want to make sure that I will still benefit somehow from the fast even though I am on Lexapro. Thanks so much!
