  • Promise 25 years old female, weighing 62 kg / 136.4 lbs, 68 in /172.72 cm tall, Christian. From Denver, United States US

  • Doing 30 days of Juice/Water Fasting. Starting November 17, 2011

  • Reasons for Fasting:
    I need to learn discipline in all areas of my life and to control my craving for unhealthy food. I also want to draw closer to God and become the person that he wants me to be. On this journey I do also want to lose weight because I have always been thin most of my life but as I am getting a little older, I noticed that I am putting on a little more weight.

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    I have fasted for 5 days on juice and lost 5lbs. It was an experiment for me and gave me a feeling of accomplishment. Well it really wasn't on healthy juice, I actually drank Hawaiin Punch for the 5 days.

  • Present Diet:
    I eat whatever it is that I want. I am lucky that my metabolism is fast so I do not gain weight, but I need to control my eating because lately I have noticed that I have put on a few extra pounds. I usually eat even when I'm not hungry because I LOVE eating and it makes me happy to eat.

  • Supplements:
    Vitamin C Multivitamins Gummies

  • Present Medication or Drug Usage:
    Naproxen Sodium 550mg for Menstrual Cramps

  • State of Mind:
    I am a really happy person but at times my lack of discipline brings me down. When I think about how far I still have to go to become the person I want to be, it leaves me feeling hopeless at times.

  • Questions:
    How much weight could I expect to lose of fat, on a 35 day juice/water fast? Also how do you keep your motivation to continue fasting, when your mind is telling you to quit and everyone else around you thinks you are crazy for even considering fasting?
