I was given Dr. Bruess’ book shortly after being diagnosed with rectal cancer. Not sure of the stage but is a tumour the size of a walnut and is of a low grade. I see many testimonials on other cancers but there really isn’t much mention of colorectal cancer. I would love to follow the protocol but my naturopathic dietician says raw veggies, even juiced aggravates rectal cancer. I have one other hiccup in the protocol and that is I’m allergic to Beet Root…amongst other things like grapes, kale and chard. You mention sugar beet in an earlier post. I could tolerate that but it goes against the idea that one should not have sugar when diagnosed with cancer. Why is there a difference here? I’m just trying to find the best protocol for me here in Canada. Black radish is very difficult to find, is there any alternative. Your advice on this is much appreciated.

]]>My mother was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago with Stage IV colon cancer that has metastasized to the liver. She is 51 years old. The cancer in her liver is extremely aggressive, and her body likely fail with another chemo. In truth she was only able to undergo 1 full chemo treatment, and a low dose one the second time, as her white cell count was too low, and her biliruben was around 155. She has lost about 15-20 pounds, and is literally skin and bone. She is too weak to walk, but is still taking fluids. Our hope was to rehabilitate her strength using homeopathic remedies for liver function, as well as some macrobiotic foods to help with other things. I am seeing small improvements everyday! But I fear about feeding the cancer. I worry that not giving her protein will mean that she will fail due to malnourishment. Do you have any guidance or thoughts on the matter?
