  • Reasons for Fasting:
    Spiritual and physical

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    Previously completed an 8 day water fast

  • Questions:
    My question is this: If I have been on a water fast for about a week, but began today sipping a half cup of fresh squeezed orange juice (did this 3 times today), along with the water, is my body still going to burn fat? Or does your body start burning muscle again when you get out of ketosis? I want to be burning fat primarily - should I go back to just water? Or can I drink very, very small quantities of juice and still burn fat, not muscle?
