Kim: 5 days of Juice/Water Fasting

  • Kim Hall, 39 years old Female, weighing 138 kg / 303.6 lbs, 61 in /154.94 cm tall, United States

  • Doing 5 days of Juice/Water Fasting. Starting November 3, 2010

  • Reasons for Fasting:
weight loss #1 priority to achieve a healthy and healed body, including quitting smoking

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    none

  • Present Diet:
raw - mostly salad with minimal fruit

  • Relevant Medical History:
Bipolar, OCD, morbidly obese, diabetes, high blood pressure (recent weight loss has reversed), ruptured disc in lower back '97

  • Present Medical Problems:
critical vit D deficient (recently underwent 8 week course to correct - blood test pending), blood sugar still a little high

  • State of Mind:
    clear and open, upbeat

  • Limitations:
Due to extreme weight, exercise is challenging, even walking.

  • Questions:
I can't ignore my body any longer, it's ready to fast now. The thought of putting food into my mouth right now is making me feel ill. Because my metabolism is SO SLOW, but my energy levels has increased so much over the past week of eating raw, is hoping for enough energy to do some physical labor during the first week too much to ask from my body?

    hi,
I would read all the juice fasting info on this excellent site by Tom and fully grasp it. Overeating is a clear sign of malnutruition , the quality of food is so poor that you have to eat a huge quantity in order to feed your body, when you start eating raw food and better still raw fresh juice you will feed your body with LIVING concentrates and the recovery will begin, take it slow and steady and build up the amount of LIVING juice that you drink , also use an enema and skin brushing to eliminate toxins and reduce cravings. Your energy levels improving by eating raw LIVING ENZYME rich food is proof that you are now recovering your health, hope that helps , regards Noor

Thanks for the well-wishes! I was planning on starting today (the 3rd) but because of not wanting to eat much yesterday, the last thing I ate were a handful of grapes right around noon. Nothing but water since then. I went to bed around midnight and woke up with a headache at 8:30am. (Only got up once during the night!!! A record for me!) Didn’t do much today, moved a sofa and went to the grocery store for a few items. Took a nap from 4:30-7pm because the headache was getting very annoying. When I woke up, the headache was nearly gone. 8:30pm now, headache has finally gone away. Only a few hunger pains throughout the day. Still smoking about the same, hope to start cutting back tomorrow.
