Fasting for Kidney Disease

My wife is 50 yeras old and suffering from kidney disease ( only 18 % eGFR). Do you suggest water fasting or juice fasting?

Thanks

Yes juice fasting can assist the kidneys to restore normal function. Water fasting will release toxins too quickly.  A 30 day juice fast repaired my kidneys that cause pain through out the day.

Drink lots of juice and take avocado if you kidneys start to hurt.

The key is to slow the detox rate to what the kidneys can handle comfortably.

I had to fast then eat then fast longer then eat several times to cure my kidneys.

The shorter fasts helped and reduced the pain but it took 28 days of juice fasting for them to heal.

Can juice or water fasting help someone with Nephrotic Syndrome? He is in pain with cramps and severe discomfort nearly everyday now. He also has edema. What can you suggest?! If a juice fast, what kind of juice, how long, what to expect during the fast?

    Thank you for any recommendations!!

      Hi Ahnya,
Yes juice fasting can help kidney disease but fasting has to be controlled to reduce toxin elimination that can overload the kidneys.
By young coconut water. That has helped several people.
Secondly make carrot beets, lemon, with any greens.
Take about 3 glasses a day and sip it.
For protein go to 5 egg whites per day blended.
I and vanilla extract and honey.
It there is a detox reaction add one avocado in slices throughout the day to slow the detox.
So far I have seen improvement but not a cure for stage 4 kidney disease.
Early stage KDS show marked improvements with periodic juice fasting under 5 days, then eating, leading to longer fasts.
      No food.

Thank you for your reply and recommendation Tom! The person is not ‘officially’ diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome yet, but has had a couple urine test and his Physician suggested the possibility, as well as him going to see a Specialist. I am hoping that the juice concoction above will at least alleviate his symptoms until we know for certain what his ailment is. I appreciate your assistance with this.

Is your Fasting Resort still in Sagada, P.I.?
