  • Doing 45 days of Water Fasting. Starting April 17, 2012

  • Reasons for Fasting:
    I am fasting for weight-loss, general health, and am planning on switching to a mostly if not all raw food diet after my fast. I will probably juice fast for awhile before taking on the raw food diet.

  • Past Fasting Experience:
    I have done a few 2-week-long water fasts before and had a wonderful experience. Yes, I felt all of the icky side effects of fasting but mostly I vastly enjoyed feeling much healthier when I didn't eat as compared to when I did. Mostly because I was eating the wrong foods. I have been educating myself about health and food and the realationship between the two for years and came to the conclusion that fasting was the way I wanted to kick start my health reboot.

  • Present Diet:
    I have been eating a diet of fresh organic fruits and veggies as well as lean protiens for a few months now and get most of my protien from plants (beans, nuts, I do eat greek yougurt though).

  • Supplements:
    I will be taking a cayenne pepper supplement while fasting.

  • Relevant Medical History:
    None

  • Present Medication or Drug Usage:
    Multi-Vitamins

  • State of Mind:
    Very positive and focused. When I get hungry I find the best form of encouragment is to focus on my goals and surrond myself with like minded people. This is true with anything I set out to do and am going to take the same approach with fasting and my lifestyle change to eat raw foods.
